Responsibilities
- Safely walk and exercise dogs in designated neighborhoods and parks
- Provide feeding, medication administration, and basic care as needed
- Maintain detailed pet behavior and activity logs for each client
- Transport pets to veterinary appointments or grooming sessions
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding pet status and needs
- Ensure all animals are secured with proper equipment (leashes, harnesses)
- Adhere to company safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Build positive relationships through reliable, compassionate service
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior and handling techniques
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation and smartphone for communication
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
