Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately, processing cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Greet customers with a smile and assist them with inquiries, ensuring a positive and memorable shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area, adhering to all company hygiene and safety standards.
- Monitor the register drawer and reconcile daily sales reports to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist customers with product location, answering questions, and providing exceptional service to drive sales.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and gift card transactions according to company policy.
- Collaborate with the sales floor team to ensure a seamless shopping journey for every visitor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a polite, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in using computer terminals and POS software.
