Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Provide exceptional service by greeting customers, answering product inquiries, and resolving concerns
- Bag groceries efficiently and offer carryout assistance to enhance the shopping experience
- Monitor inventory levels and report stock discrepancies or maintenance needs
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, including sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Collaborate with team members to support store operations during peak hours
- Process returns/exchanges and assist with price checks following company policies
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cashier or retail experience preferred
- Strong numerical accuracy and basic math skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic technology
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid California food handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
