Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our state-of-the-art POS system
- Deliver exceptional service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving concerns
- Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise displays are well-stocked
- Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments while maintaining precise cash drawer accountability
- Operate scanning equipment and process returns/exchanges per company policy
- Collaborate with team members to support store operations and peak-hour rushes
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards throughout the checkout zone
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail or customer service role preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills required
- Strong communication abilities with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent; college students welcome
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude with problem-solving aptitude
- Valid California driver's license (for potential inventory support)
