Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Provide exceptional customer service through product knowledge and friendly interactions
- Bag groceries efficiently and assist with carryout services for elderly/disabled customers
- Operate self-checkout stations and resolve technical issues promptly
- Monitor inventory levels and alert management of stock discrepancies
- Uphold store cleanliness standards and organize checkout areas
- Participate in inventory counts and price verification tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Minimum 1 year cash handling or customer service experience preferred
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems (e.g., Square, NCR)
- Basic math skills for cash reconciliation and transaction accuracy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ohio Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
