Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome: Greet customers immediately upon entry with a friendly smile and maintain a welcoming atmosphere throughout their visit.
- Transaction Processing: Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the POS system, handling cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Cash Handling: Ensure all cash drawers are balanced at the start and end of shifts and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Customer Assistance: Assist customers with locating products, answering questions about pricing and availability, and resolving any complaints with patience and professionalism.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and free of clutter during and after each shift.
- Inventory Support: Assist with inventory counts and restocking shelves to ensure product availability for shoppers.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse customer base.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.
- Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential.
