Responsibilities
- Greet and Assist: Welcome customers warmly as they enter the store and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately ring up purchases, process various payment methods (cash, credit, debit), and handle returns or exchanges efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Keep the checkout area organized, restock supplies, and assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in accordance with company health and safety standards.
- Upselling: Inform customers of current promotions and suggest add-on products to enhance their shopping experience.
- Problem Solving: Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with patience and professionalism.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Math Skills: Strong basic math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately and quickly.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail, customer service, or cash handling is a plus but not required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs) as needed.
