Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service through product knowledge and friendly interactions
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas including bagging stations and surrounding spaces
- Assist with inventory management, price checks, and promotional displays
- Resolve customer inquiries and escalate complex issues to management
- Adhere to all security protocols for cash handling and loss prevention
- Collaborate with stock associates to ensure shelves are fully stocked
Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash/credit transactions
- Ability to operate POS systems and learn new technologies quickly
- Strong communication skills and approachable demeanor
- Reliability and punctuality with flexible availability
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
