Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Provide outstanding service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Assist with inventory management, stocking shelves, and maintaining store appearance
- Operate price scanners and ensure promotional pricing is correctly applied
- Adhere to security protocols for cash handling and loss prevention
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong numerical accuracy and basic math skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency with point-of-sale technology or willingness to learn
- High school diploma or equivalent (currently enrolled students welcome)
