Responsibilities
- Safe leash handling and walking for dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Administer medications and special care as requested by pet owners
- Monitor pet health and behavior during walks and report concerns
- Maintain detailed digital walk logs with GPS tracking and photo updates
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Build trust-based relationships with both pets and owners
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid Washington State driver's license and insured vehicle
- Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent physical fitness for all-weather walking in Seattle
- Exceptional communication skills for client interactions
- Background check clearance required
- Knowledge of Seattle leash laws and pet regulations
