Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely and efficiently load and unload materials and products from trailers and trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Inventory Management: Verify shipment contents against packing slips to ensure accuracy and document any discrepancies immediately.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by properly stacking and storing inventory.
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse machinery and handheld scanners according to company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and report any issues to the shift supervisor before processing.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work evening and weekend shifts (e.g., 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, walk extensively, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and the ability to use handheld scanners.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable form of transportation and pass a background check and drug screening.
