Responsibilities
- Safely deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses in Long Beach, CA, adhering to strict time windows.
- Verify recipient identity and ensure proper signature collection upon delivery.
- Use mobile applications for route planning, navigation, and real-time delivery status updates.
- Inspect and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle before and after shifts.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle any delivery exceptions or complaints professionally.
- Assist in loading and unloading packages from the delivery vehicle efficiently and safely.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and mileage as required by company policy.
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 18 years of age to operate a vehicle.
- Reliable personal vehicle or access to a delivery vehicle suitable for the job.
- Smartphone with data capabilities (Android or iOS) for app access.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business volume.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate traffic effectively.
- Basic computer literacy for logging hours and tracking deliveries.
