Responsibilities
- Tier 1 Technical Support: Assist employees with hardware and software troubleshooting, including printers, laptops, and internal applications.
- Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of IT inventory and assist in the setup of new workstations.
- Network Assistance: Support local area network (LAN) connectivity and basic troubleshooting for internet access issues.
- Documentation: Log and categorize incoming technical support requests in the help desk ticketing system.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on office equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with senior IT staff to escalate complex issues and learn best practices.
- User Training: Provide basic guidance to staff on software usage and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or IT is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional IT experience required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
