Responsibilities
- Safely walk and supervise 2-4 dogs simultaneously using premium handling techniques
- Administer specialized care for senior dogs, puppies, and special-needs pets
- Provide detailed digital reports with GPS tracking and photo updates to clients
- Maintain immaculate equipment and hygiene standards during all walks
- Transport pets in climate-controlled vehicles with secure safety restraints
- Implement positive reinforcement training during walks when requested
- Respond proactively to emergencies and maintain first/CPR certifications
- Build client relationships through exceptional communication and reliability
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional dog walking experience with client references
- Valid driver's license with clean record and reliable insured vehicle
- Certification in Pet First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Proven ability to handle large/guardian breeds and reactive dogs
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento neighborhoods and pet-friendly routes
- Availability for morning/evening walks (5:30-9:30 AM and 4-8 PM)
- Smartphone proficiency for our premium pet care app
- Background check clearance and TB test required
