Responsibilities
- Merchandising: Receive, unload, and unpack incoming shipments; sort, price, and stock merchandise on shelves and in the backroom efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and cycle counts to minimize shrinkage.
- Store Presentation: Keep the sales floor, aisles, and stockrooms clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe shopping environment.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts as required.
- Customer Assistance: Assist customers in locating products and provide general information about store policies and procedures.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products are properly labeled, displayed according to planograms, and meet quality standards.
- Shift Adherence: Arrive on time for early morning shifts (typically 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM) and maintain a consistent work schedule.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and dependability in previous employment.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail when organizing stock and counting inventory.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for price checks and inventory calculations.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail stocking, warehousing, or logistics is preferred but not required.
