Responsibilities
- Safely walk and exercise client dogs in designated neighborhoods and parks
- Provide attentive care, including feeding and medication administration if needed
- Maintain detailed logs of pet behavior and activity during walks
- Transport pets to veterinary appointments or grooming facilities
- Ensure all pets are secured with proper leashes and harnesses
- Communicate professionally with pet owners about their pets' well-being
- Clean and maintain equipment after each walking session
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional dog walking or pet care experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably
- Current pet first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and handling techniques
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Must pass background check and drug screening
