Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds in local Portland parks and neighborhoods.
- Ensure all safety protocols and leash laws are strictly followed at all times.
- Clean up after pets immediately and maintain a tidy appearance during visits.
- Provide basic obedience commands, playtime interaction, and socialization.
- Report any behavioral issues, health concerns, or medical needs to the owner immediately.
- Feed pets and administer medication if required by the owner's instructions.
- Send timely photo and video updates to pet parents to keep them connected.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with dogs is preferred but not required; a genuine love for animals is essential.
- A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably walk 2+ miles per day.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and a pet temperament assessment.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
