As a Cashier, you play a vital role in our success. You will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, ensuring a seamless and friendly checkout experience.
Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers with a smile and provide exceptional service to enhance the shopping experience.
- Handle cash, checks, and electronic payments while adhering to all company security and audit policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area and store floor.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locate items, and answer questions regarding store policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure store operations run smoothly during all shifts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
