Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service at checkout lanes while processing transactions accurately and efficiently
- Operate POS systems, handle cash, and manage payment methods including credit cards, mobile payments, and coupons
- Scan, bag, and organize merchandise while maintaining a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist customers with product inquiries, location of items, and resolve basic issues promptly
- Support store operations by restocking shelves, maintaining inventory accuracy, and participating in store resets
- Adhere to all safety protocols, food handling standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Minimum 6 months of customer service or cashier experience preferred
- Strong math skills and ability to operate point-of-sale systems
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with technology
