Responsibilities
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately, ensuring all transactions are processed with zero errors.
- Greet customers with a warm smile and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments in strict accordance with company security and accounting policies.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locate items, and provide professional recommendations.
- Maintain a pristine checkout area and sales floor, including restocking merchandise and keeping the workspace organized.
- Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong basic math skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting boxes (up to 25 lbs).
