Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with 100% accuracy and adherence to cash handling policies.
- Greet customers warmly and provide a superior shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area at all times.
- Bag groceries securely and assist customers with loading items into vehicles when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to restock shelves and maintain inventory levels during downtime.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred but not required; training provided.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
