Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service at all times.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently to process cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Accurately handle money, make change, and maintain the cash drawer.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, locate items, and answer questions about promotions.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and price adjustments in accordance with company policy.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is preferred but not required.
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work weekends and holidays.
