Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly upon entry and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance throughout their shopping experience.
- Transaction Management: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Financial Accuracy: Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with precision, ensuring the cash drawer is balanced at the end of every shift.
- Merchandising Support: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor by restocking merchandise and organizing displays.
- Policy Adherence: Manage returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries while strictly adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Opening/Closing Duties: Assist in preparing the store for opening and securing the premises during closing procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Previous cash handling and retail experience is preferred; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Skills: Strong basic math skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customer bases.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Technical: Proficiency in operating standard POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and move around the sales floor comfortably.
