Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and provide product recommendations.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining strict accuracy and balancing the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with bags, receipt paper, and promotional materials.
- Resolve customer concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with the store management team to ensure smooth daily operations and inventory management.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and loss prevention procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong numerical skills with a high degree of accuracy in cash handling.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
