Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with strict attention to accuracy and accountability.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies in a friendly manner.
- Assist with inventory management, including tagging and organizing merchandise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area and sales floor.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure store operations run smoothly during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in retail customer service preferred but not required (we train the right candidates).
- Strong math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Reliable attendance and a professional work ethic.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
