Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge every customer with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict accuracy and accountability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area at all times.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and locate items within the store.
- Keep the sales floor stocked and tidy by organizing shelves and checking inventory levels.
- Process gift cards and loyalty program sign-ups.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is a plus but not required.
- Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to stand and move around for extended periods.
- Proficiency with technology and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
