Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs and inquiries.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately to process sales transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with bags and supplies.
- Assist in bagging purchases and maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere.
- Perform light stocking duties and ensure product displays are presentable.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs).
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Availability for flexible scheduling is a must.
