Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges.
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensuring the cash drawer is balanced at the end of each shift.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining a clean store environment.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales targets and store goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
