Responsibilities
- Scan items, collect payment, and accurately make change for customers.
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service and support.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy checkout area at all times.
- Process returns and exchanges efficiently and according to company policy.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting stock shortages or damaged goods.
- Adhere to all cash handling procedures and security protocols.
- Upsell products and promote current sales promotions to customers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required.
- Strong basic math skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Friendly demeanor with a customer-first attitude.
