Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their needs promptly and professionally.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions with strict attention to detail and adherence to company security protocols.
- Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and returns with a positive attitude and problem-solving approach.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking shelves when not at the register.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with high accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance record and a positive work ethic.
- Proficiency with technology and willingness to learn new POS systems.
