Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Efficiently and accurately ring up customer purchases using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and resolve any issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Cash Handling: Safely handle cash, credit card payments, and checks, ensuring all transactions are balanced at the end of the shift.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with bags, receipt paper, and promotional materials.
- Assist Customers: Help locate products within the store and provide information regarding store policies and product details.
- Inventory Support: Assist in inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail/hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Reliability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and able to stand for extended periods.
