Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a warm smile and provide friendly, efficient service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately, processing cash, credit, and debit transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies with professionalism and patience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area, including restocking bags and supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations during peak hours.
- Adhere to all cash handling procedures and company security policies to prevent loss.
- Assist with inventory management and price changes as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not always required for entry-level roles.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with high attention to detail.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new systems quickly.
