What You’ll Do:
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using our POS system.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries regarding products and pricing.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with strict attention to detail.
- Bag purchases and ensure the checkout area remains clean and organized.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to maintain store operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to count change accurately.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, energetic attitude.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet all customers with a smile and provide a welcoming shopping experience.
- Transactions: Process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Accuracy: Ensure all transactions are rung up correctly and handle cash, checks, and digital payments with precision.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout counter, counter mats, and surrounding areas clean and tidy at all times.
- Product Knowledge: Assist customers in locating items and answer basic questions about store policies and products.
- Teamwork: Support cash wrap duties and assist other staff members during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior cashier or retail experience is a plus.
- Skills: Basic math skills and ability to operate a computer or POS terminal.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes or merchandise as needed.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
