- Ring up customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with strict adherence to company policies.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies in a polite and professional manner.
- Process returns, exchanges, and customer service requests courteously.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with bagging items and maintaining a tidy sales floor when not at the register.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
