Responsibilities
- Ring up customer purchases accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and accountability.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
- Assist with bagging items and maintaining a neat sales floor when not at the register.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in retail is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable transportation and a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate weights.
