Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with strict adherence to cash handling policies and security protocols.
- Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and provide product recommendations to enhance the shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor environment at all times.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and organizing displays.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Cash out the register at the end of the shift and balance the till.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong numerical skills and the ability to perform basic math accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and a positive, professional attitude.
