Responsibilities
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash drawer accountability
- Provide outstanding customer service through product knowledge and friendly interactions
- Operate scanners, credit card machines, and self-checkout stations efficiently
- Bag merchandise and assist with carryout services for customer convenience
- Maintain clean, organized checkout areas and restock supplies as needed
- Resolve customer inquiries with professionalism and escalate complex issues to management
- Participate in inventory counts and store maintenance tasks
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required
- Strong math skills and comfort handling cash/credit transactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn POS systems
