Responsibilities
- Process customer payments efficiently using POS systems and handle cash/credit card transactions
- Scan items accurately and provide price checks for customers
- Bag groceries and assist with carryout services as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Resolve customer inquiries and escalate complex issues to management
- Assist with inventory management and stocking shelves during downtime
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn POS systems
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
