As a trainee barista, you'll receive hands-on instruction from certified coffee professionals while earning a competitive hourly wage. Our program covers brewing techniques, customer service mastery, and inventory management. Upon completion, you'll transition to a full-time role with growth opportunities to shift lead or coffee educator positions.
Responsibilities
- Master espresso brewing techniques and specialty coffee preparation
- Deliver exceptional customer service with personalized beverage recommendations
- Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain clean, organized workspace and equipment
- Participate in paid training modules covering coffee theory and practical skills
- Collaborate with team to create a welcoming café atmosphere
- Support inventory management and supply restocking
Qualifications
- No prior coffee experience required
- Must be available for paid training (4 weeks, 20 hours/week)
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Flexible availability including early mornings and weekends
- 18+ years of age
- Valid food handler certification (provided if needed)
