Responsibilities
- Expertly prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages using premium beans and artisanal techniques
- Deliver exceptional customer service with personalized recommendations and warm hospitality
- Maintain pristine workspace by cleaning equipment, restocking inventory, and adhering to food safety standards
- Operate POS systems efficiently while processing cash/credit transactions
- Collaborate with team to develop seasonal drink menus and promotional events
- Train new hires on coffee preparation protocols and cafe culture
- Source and showcase local pastries, teas, and coffee merchandise
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional coffee preparation experience required
- Deep knowledge of coffee brewing methods (pour-over, espresso, French press)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to build customer rapport
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment during peak hours
- Basic math proficiency for handling transactions and inventory management
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Food Handler's certification preferred
- Passion for coffee culture and continuous learning
