Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages using precise brewing techniques (espresso, pour-over, French press)
- Deliver exceptional customer service through personalized recommendations and warm hospitality
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness of espresso machines, brewing equipment, and customer areas
- Execute cash handling, POS transactions, and daily cash reconciliation with 100% accuracy
- Manage inventory of coffee beans, syrups, and supplies while minimizing waste
- Train new team members on beverage recipes, safety protocols, and brand standards
- Collaborate with baristas to optimize workflow during peak hours and special events
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of professional barista experience with espresso machine proficiency
- Extensive knowledge of coffee origins, roast profiles, and flavor differentiation
- Proven ability to maintain composure during high-volume rushes while delivering quality
- Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Ability to lift 30 lbs of coffee bags and stand for 8-hour shifts
- ServSafe Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
