Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and assist with inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.
- Bag groceries and ensure items are organized and secure during transport.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area at all times.
- Assist with price checks, returns, and exchanges while adhering to company protocols.
- Monitor for expired dates on products and ensure inventory accuracy on the sales floor.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions with high accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-centric attitude.
- Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
