Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) relevant to 2026 market landscape
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps with 5-year vision aligned with business objectives
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify disruptive opportunities
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate future technologies into development pipelines
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and research labs
- Author thought leadership publications and speak at industry conferences
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership roles
- Proven track record of identifying and commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least three future-critical domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, or advanced biotech
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical information
- Strong executive presence and experience presenting to C-suite audiences
- Published author or frequent speaker at technology conferences
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
