Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technological, social, and economic trends to forecast 2026+ market landscapes
- Develop and maintain Horizon's proprietary 'Future Horizon' strategic foresight framework
- Collaborate with R&D teams to align innovation roadmaps with predicted paradigm shifts
- Deliver executive-level trend briefings and scenario-planning workshops for C-suite
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to translate foresight into product development and market entry strategies
- Build and nurture a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry disruptors
- Author thought leadership content positioning Horizon as the 2026 innovation authority
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futurism, Technology Strategy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of successfully predicting market shifts (case studies required)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum computing, biotech convergence, or climate tech
- Exceptional systems thinking ability to connect disparate technological and societal threads
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies and strategic foresight tools (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Outstanding executive communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights
- Portfolio demonstrating published futurist work or implemented strategic foresight projects
